In no way can you listen to this song and not get a little teary eyed. I do prefer the Black Angels when they sound paranoid and terrifying but this one is just incredible and sounds like it was written by a 100 year old blues musician in the 40s. It also amazes me how much of the 70s rock bands they actually can incorporate without losing their own specific sound.
The song reminds me a little of “wild pack of family dogs” by Modest Mouse, however, with a tender note of hope all in all.
I bet if you sing this to your crush, they will totally let you make out with them.
