Oh what a fickle name, one would expect psychedelic adventures to trip to but Highasakite are a lot less warbly and a lot more focused. Focused on great, beautiful electronic songs that follow Beach House and rather airy Icelandic sounds. They do come from Norway though, only recently I talked with friends that all the Norwegians we’ve met so far have been a delight.
Their music is the sort of stuff you put on when you either need something gorgeous to get inspired or when you need something melancholic to go into yourself and consider your life.
Their first single of the album „all that floats will rain“ (I do not like the album title) is „Indian Summer“ which fits this time of the year and is also a song that in the first tunes reminds a lot of other songs (Who knew for example) but then turns into its own, fantastic direction and is simply amazing.
