Favourite Song: Cat Stevens ‘The Wind’

I know that this song has been played on dozens of iconic shows and movies whilst something romantic happened…but for me, “Rushmore” really used it with a true intention – it’s not just about romance, people, this is about situations in life when you just have to trust in things and be brave enough not to close yourself up.

Cat Stevens was one of my early favourites as a kid (together with Simon & Garfunkel and the Crash Test Dummies…yeah, weird combination) and given that a lot of his music has the feel of traditional lullabies and is very innocent and lacks cynicism, it seems obvious that kids can easily get into his songs.
